QUESTIONNAIRE

Is your character willing to have sex and able to give informed consent?

Yes! He is an adult and able to consent, and has probably had sex in at least one of the many cycles of his life.

What is the wish your character made? Why did they make it?

Phainon would wish for Irontomb, a supercomputor calculating Destruction that is the house and controller of the "Amphoreus Experiment" - or, in essence, Phainon's entire life, to be completely destroyed. As part of his role as "the Deliverer", or NeiKos496, Phainon stopped Irontomb's birth and created a cycle of over 33 million re-runs of Amphoreus until something came that could stop it fully.

The problem is that now, in the 33,550,337th cycle, Phainon has attempted to create a vulnerability in Irontomb and has, instead, been defeated by a Ravager and been merging with Irontomb itself. In the canon point he is currently, Phainon is using all his power and resources in a world that has only just really remembered who he is to stop Irontomb, at the cost of his own life. The only thing in the world that he wants is for the supercompter to be stopped, for it to come to an end and for all those that he loves most to surive and be happy, even if it costs him his own life.

How will your character initially react to Decadia's setting?

Phainon is a man accustomed to people knowing who he is, being in the public eye and, most importantly, devoting his life to others. As a Chrysos Heir, he was quite literally born to be someone held in high regard and to have attention paid to him, so that won't be too much of an adjustment for him. It's also worth noting that he's used to having people watching and "spying" on him, thanks to Aglaea literally being able to use her powers to see what he's up to and read his heart.

There will be some measure of discomfort about what aspects of himself are more public, however. Some things are to be expected, coming from a society that has a lot of connections to Ancient Greece, so public nudity and bathing won't come as a huge surprise to him, but the idea of being watched in his more intimate moments will take some adjustment. It'll be hard for him to overcome initial shyness and uncertainty about it, but the reminder of his purpose for doing it will be more than enough, since it isn't the first time other people's wants and desires have been more important than his own.

What are you most interested in doing with your character in Decadia?

I'm very excited for Phainon to get to meet lots of different kinds of people, and to be able to branch out and learn more about the world beyond what he knew in the simulated world of Amphoreus, especially when he has over 33 million cycles of memories hanging on to him. It will be good for him to treat this as a new life and be able to work on moving on from being a Deliverer and the one who brings the dawn, a moniker that holds a lot of weight for him.

I also think it'll be interesting to have him work on being a little more selfish in some ways and actually focussing on his own desires for once. Phainon's entire being is built around pleasing others, fulfilling other people's wishes and doing all he can for all those he meets, sometimes at the detriment of his own self. For him to be able to move forward and lean into a more selfish side would be novel character development and exciting to see him work through.

What aspect of sex appeals to your character the most?

Phainon is a sucker for intimacy, and definitely the emotional connection that comes with it. As mentioned before, his entire existence has been moulded as someone who will fight for other people and their future, that will give his life, hope and sanity for the chance of a better world, no matter how much it might cost him personally. It means that when it comes to sex he'll enjoy taking care of other people, the bond that can form because of that and being able to forge those connections, even if it comes with a level of observation that he isn't used to.

He's not a man that is probably used to any kind of casual sex and likely will find that difficult to begin with, but he'll find learning about pleasure, how to use it and how to enjoy it an exciting experience, especially when it comes hand in hand with literally thousands of years of memories and experiences that aren't real in the life he's lead. Being able to spend time with people, be intimate with them, embrace them and lean into his softer and gentler side, leaving the war and fighting behind, will definitely be alluring to him.

What kinks does your character have, known or unknown to them? Why do they have those particular kinks?

Phainon is definitely into the softer side of sex more than he is the harder - things like oral, body worship, what might be more adjacent to "lovemaking" than rougher, casual sex. With someone that he particularly cares for and has deeper feelings towards, he'll lean a little more possessive, and be inclined to do whatever they might enjoy and push his own limits a little to match it. He also thinks of himself as generally leaning more dominant and being willing to take control when it comes to the bedroom.

This is the man who will be a little rough with you and then cuddle you for hours afterwards, just for the thrill of the game.

In practice, depending on his partner, Phainon can lean far more submissive than he pictures himself as, and would be willing to engage in things that come with giving up control he holds onto quite tightly - such as bondage, sensory deprivation and similar kinks. The possessive nature could also bleed over into this, with Phainon taking pleasure - and pride! - in leaving marks on his partner, liking biting. Anything rough like this has probably been more out of necessity than desire in the past, so he'll probably rediscover this as time goes on.
